KARACHI, April 29: Four ships carrying containers, diesel oil and chemicals were berthed at QICT, FOTCO Oil Terminal and EVT during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release.

Meanwhile, two more ships with edible oil and sugar also arrived at the outer anchorage. Berth occupancy remained on high side at 89 per cent as nine ships were busy in loading and unloading containers, rice, canola seeds, edible oil, diesel oil, chemicals and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 90,215 tons comprising 66,430 tons of import and 23,785 tons of export was handled. Sailing was active as Hammurabi, Amasis and Samho Horn left the port while Nederland and Mykali were due to depart.

Three ships, Brasilia, Saudi Hofuf and Sea Lion were due to arrive at the port.
