KARACHI: Pakistan Navy Ship (PNS) Aslat visited the Maldives during a regional maritime security patrol (RMSP) deployment.

Upon arrival at Port Malé, the ship was warmly welcomed by officials of the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) and Coast Guard, said a press release issued here.

During the port visit, the commanding officer of PNS Aslat called on the Chief of Defence Force, Major General Ibrahim Hilmy and the Commandant of the Coast Guard, Brigadier General Mohammad Saleem. Matters of mutual interest were discussed during these interactions. The commanding officer also conveyed warm wishes from the Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashra.
