TAXILA: Armed persons gunned down a man after hitting his motorcycle with their vehicle on G.T. Road in the limits of Hassanabdal police station on Wednesday.

Police sources said a man identified as Mohammad Asghar was going on his motorcycle when a jeep hit him near a medical complex.

When he fell down, the suspects disembarked and shot at him, killing him on the spot.

The murderers managed to escape from the scene. The body was later shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital.

Meanwhile, a man was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a teenage girl in her house, within the limits of Attock police station.

The victim’s mother has reported to police that her daughter was alone at her house when the suspect forcefully entered her house and sexually assaulted her daughter and fled.

Police, after a medical examination of the victim which confirmed the assault, registered a case against the suspect and subsequently arrested him.
