LAHORE: A meeting of the coordination committee of the ruling PML-N and PPP has been convened to address the latter’s concerns regarding the coalition government in Punjab.

After contacts between the two parties were restored, a meeting of the coordination committee has been called to resolve their differences in Punjab, sources say.

The meeting will be held on March 15 at the Governor House in an attempt to address the PPP’s grievances, they add.

The PPP demands a share in nominations for provincial authorities, development funds, as well as transfers and postings in the bureaucracy.

Punjab Governor Saleem Haider, Raja Pervez Ashraf, Hassan Murtaza, Nadeem Afzal Chan, and Qasim Gilani are expected to represent the PPP, while Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Adviser to the Prime Minister Rana Sanaullah, Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, and Khwaja Saad Rafiq are likely to attend the meeting from the PML-N side.
