BAJAUR: A police official, who was martyred in an attack by unknown armed men on Sunday evening, was laid to rest in his native area here on Monday.

Ismail Khan, 38, who was also head of the police’s Quick Response Force in Bajaur, was targeted near Badisamoor area when he was going to home from Inayat Kallay along with a son.

The slain official was laid to rest in his native Badisamoor area following his final funeral prayers, which were held at the Bajaur Police Lines’ ground on Sunday night.

Senior officials of the district administration and police were also in attendance.
