The killing of two Palestinians in Rafah by the Israeli army is just an extension of the violations that took place during the first phase of the ceasefire deal. We’re talking about 116 people who were killed during the past 42 days, including those who were attempting to return to their homes, Al Jazeera’s Hani Mahmoud reports from Gaza City.

“Since Israel announced its intention to prolong phase one of the deal, we have seen more provocative action by drones above the Gaza Strip.

“Three people have been reported killed so far today in Rafah and eastern Khan Younis by drone attacks and snipers. Yesterday, six people were shot and killed by the Israeli army. These acts are perceived as provocative as Israel accuses Palestinians of not accepting an extension of the first phase of the ceasefire,” Mahmoud reports.
