QUETTA: Five people were burnt to death when three vehicles, loaded with smuggled oil, collided and caught fire on Friday in Washuk district.

Levies officials said the tragic incident took place in Basima Patak area of Washuk.

“Three drivers and two others who were travelling in the vehicles were trapped in the burning vehicles and could not be rescued due to huge flames,” officials said, adding that overspeed was the reason for the deadly collision.

The bodies were shifted to nearby hospital by rescue workers. The deceased belonged to Mastung and Quetta.
