The UN agency says “reports of infants dying because of hypothermia are devastating and shouldn’t be happening in our modern days”, Al Jazeera reports
It said on X that UNICEF and its partners are distributing winter clothing to children to help them protect themselves from the cold, but the needs in the Palestinian enclave are “immense”.
“What children need now is a sustained ceasefire and continued unimpeded access to aid,” it said.
