The sister of elderly Israeli hostage Shlomo Mansour, who was seized in Hamas’s October 2023 attack, told Israeli television that he was among four bodies Hamas returned as part of a hostage-prisoner swap, AFP reports.

“We received the announcement… it’s very difficult,” Hadassa Lazar told Channel 12 by telephone.

Israel said in February 2024 that 85-year-old Mansour had been killed on October 7, 2023 and that his body had been taken to the Gaza Strip.
