TAXILA: Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice (CJ) Aalia Neelum has said cooperation between bench and bar was imperative for the supremacy of law and provision of affordable and speedy justice to all litigants.

She expressed these views while talking to the judiciary and legal fraternity of Fatehjang during her visit to the tehsil judicial complex on Tuesday.

Upon her arrival, District and Sessions Judge Attock Javed Iqbal, Additional Sessions Judge Fateh Jang Umar Rashid and office bearers of tehsil bar association welcomed her.

During her visit, she visited various courtrooms and witnessed the court proceedings.

On this occasion, she told the officers and legal community that all problems could be addressed through consultation.

While interacting with the office bearers of the bar association, she urged the lawyers to utilise their energies and capabilities to provide early and smooth justice to the poor, needy and oppressed.

She also stressed the need to make all-out efforts to provide a better working atmosphere with the sole aim of dispensing speedy justice to the people at their doorsteps.

The CJ said it was a matter of great satisfaction that in Fatehjang, the bar members had started interacting with the judiciary and were extending cooperation to achieve the noble goal of administration of justice which was their common objective.

The chief justice observed that efforts would be made to solve the genuine problems faced by the Fatehjang Bar Association.

On this occasion, she also planted a sapling on the premises of the judicial complex.
