Published April 26, 2006

KARACHI, April 25: The chairman of the Board of Secondary Education, Karachi, has allowed acceptance of class X annual examination forms for all groups, with a late fine of Rs500 for an indefinite period.

About 145,000 candidates got themselves registered for the SSC part-II examinations which commenced on April 25.

Talking to Dawn, the BSE controller of examination, Mohammad Salim Khan, said that chairman, Brig (retd) Shafiullah Qureshi, keeping in view the demands and hardship of many of the leftover candidates and their parents had decided to facilitate the students in their larger interest.

We on Tuesday too have received forms from students and would continue accepting forms in coming days as well since there was no closing date for the purpose, Mr Salim added, saying that all the leftover candidates of science and general (regular and private) groups can avail the opportunity.
