KARACHI: A ‘missing’ employee of the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, who also worked as an estate agent in DHA, was found dead in Clifton on Sunday, police said.

Defence SHO Shahid Taj said that the body of Mehtab Ahmed, 53, was found near the Sunday Bazaar.

The body was taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medico-legal formalities.

He said the victim went to his estate agency on Saturday, but did not return. His family had lodged a report regarding his disappearance with the Defence police at 6am on Sunday and within three hours his body was found.

He said some guests had visited the estate agency and Ahmed went with them in a car on Saturday evening and since then his whereabouts were not known.

Clifton SHO Mohammed Irfan Meo told Dawn that the doctors had reserved the cause of death till the receipt of the report of a chemical examiner.

He said apparently there were no injury marks on the body.
