Ismail al-Thawabta, director-general of the Government Media Office in Gaza, says the enclave is in need of tens of thousands of temporary homes to shelter displaced Palestinians, Al Jazeera reports.
Speaking to Qatar News Agency, al-Thawabta highlighted that Gaza requires at least 135,000 mobile houses for the decimated north, adding only six bulldozers have so far entered the Gaza Strip — contrary to the truce deal with Israel.
The first phase of the ceasefire deal stipulated the entry of 500 such machines, he said. Other items rejected entry by Israeli forces include materials to revamp destroyed health facilities, electric generators and other power systems.
