DERA GHAZI KHAN: Rajanpur police recovered a man who was kidnapped by criminals from the Katcha area some days back.

The operation to recover Muhammad Jamil Jhalan culminated in a fierce exchange of fire between the police and the kidnappers.

The incident came to light when a case was registered with the Bangla Achha Police Station on Jan 27, following a complaint by the victim’s family. Acting swiftly on the complaint, police launched a coordinated operation to rescue Jamil.

According to police sources, the criminals were constantly moving the abducted man from one location to another to evade capture. However, with the help of local informers and surveillance, police were able to track the kidnappers’ movements.

During the operation, led by DSP Bangla Acha, police pursued the criminals, leading to a confrontation in which the kidnappers opened fire on the police team. A gun battle ensued, forcing the criminals to leave Jamil and flee the scene. Police shifted him to a safe location.

Following the rescue, Rajanpur police intensified search operations in the area to apprehend the fleeing criminals.
