The US heavy bombs shipment has arrived in Israel’s Ashdod Port overnight, Al Jazeera reports citing the Israeli Defence Ministry.
Quoted by the Israeli national media, the ministry added the shipment of MK-84 heavy munitions, which are 2,000-pound (900kg) aircraft bombs, was carried to air bases by trucks.
In late January, US President Donald Trump announced that he instructed the US military to release a hold imposed by Democratic former president Joe Biden on the supply of 2,000-pound bombs to Israel.
