PESHAWAR, April 23: The Awami National Party’s provincial secretary-general Mian Iftikhar Hussain has criticised Interior Minister Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao’s remarks against the ANP.
In a statement issued on Saturday, Mian Iftikhar alleged that Mr Sherpao’s politics was aimed at advancing his personal interests.
He ridiculed the interior minister’s statement that the Pakistan People’s Party would fight for the rights of Pukhtuns while the ANP was just raising slogans.
He said ANP was a force which had come into being on ideological basis and the coming era would belong to his party.
