NAWABSHAH: Nawabshah police on Wednesday booked a man for manhandling and slapping a woman polio worker during ongoing vaccination drive in the province.

Ms Tahira Parveen lodged an FIR (No.40/2025) at B-Section police station under Sections 353, 504, 34, 337 F2 and 337 A1 PPC against Rajab for attacking and slapping her and issuing threats of dire consequences to the polio team.

Sources said the incident took place in Kakapota Colony on Wednesday morning when the health officials’ team reached there for administration of polio drops.

The suspect allegedly refused to get the drops administered to his child, issued threats to the team and later attacked and slapped the polio worker Ms Parveen.
