QUETTA: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir has praised the unwavering commitment of troops, paramilitary forces and other law enforcement agencies to defend the motherland at all costs and reassured the army’s resolve to ensure the security and well-being of the people of Balochistan.

During his visit to Quetta, the COAS was given a comprehensive briefing on the prevailing security situation, which was also attended by senior security and intelligence officials.

Says those acting as proxies of their foreign masters stand exposed

Gen Asim Munir highlighted that those who are acting as terrorist proxies of their foreign masters who have mastered the art of displaying double standards, hunting with the hound and running with the hare, are known to them.

He said these proxies will “surely be defeated by the resilience of our proud nation and its armed forces”.

“For the defence of our motherland and its people, we will definitely retaliate and ‘hunt you down’, whenever required and wherever you may be.”

He appreciated the efforts of the valiant officers and soldiers of Army, Frontier Corps and all law enforcement agencies for their courage and determination to fight terrorism.

He reassured the army’s resolve to ensure the security and well-being of the people of Balochistan, while also reaffirming commitment to supporting the provincial government in promoting peace, stability, and development in the region.

Later, the COAS, Balochistan governor and chief minister and others officials offered funeral prayers for the martyred soldiers. They also visited the injured security forces personnel at the Combined Military Hospital, Quetta, and appreciated their unwavering commitment to defend the country at all costs.
