KARACHI: Another British exam board, Lear­ning Resource Network (LRN), saw its Pakistan launch at the British Deputy High Commission here on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Head of Mission at the British Deputy High Commission, Karachi, Martin Dawson, said that they want to share the best practices in education with Pakistan as the country is important to the UK as a partner.

“The British education system is known as the best in the world and we also want to enhance and strengthen Pakistan’s education system,” he said, adding that educational institutions in Pakistan can benefit from UK’s educational programmes as they offer life changing opportunities to equip one with skills of the future.

LRN’s Assessment Manager Angelica De Paiva said that they are a strengthening bridge between education and global connectivity for opening doors and offering opportunities to students. Their mission is to make high quality education accessible to all.

“Societies are built on education, economies flourish on education and so we are determined to provide access to globally recognised qualifications and creating pathways to success in an interconnected world for growth, innovation and empowerment,” she said.

Earlier, a memorandum of understanding was signed between LRM and Ziauddin University.

Russel Collins, the CEO of Vamos, a UK school that offers online Spanish courses, also spoke.
