Israeli PM meets US Middle East envoy Witkoff, says Netanyahu’s office

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has met visiting US Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff, Al Jazeera reports according to a statement issued by his office.

Witkoff also visited the Gaza Strip, becoming the first US official to do so in two decades.

Israel’s public broadcaster Kan said he was accompanied and secured by Israeli forces and visited the Netzarim Corridor, which bisects the Gaza Strip, with Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer.
