LAHORE: Provincial Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar said that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz will inaugurate the final phase competitions of “Khelta Punjab Games” on Thursday (tomorrow).

He was presiding over a meeting at the National Hockey Stadium on Tuesday. The opening ceremony of the Khelta Punjab Games will be held at the Punjab Stadium.

Youth Affairs Secretary Muzaffar Khan Sial, Youth Affairs DG Khizar Afzaal, LWMC Chairman Bilal Zulfiqar Khokhar, Sports Coordinator Malik Anoosh Khokhar, Director Admin Dr M Kaleem and Director Sports Rana Nadeem Anjum attended the meeting.

Mr Khokhar said that the Khelta Punjab Games were organised under the slogan of ‘Khelay ga Punjab, Jeetay ga Punjab’.

He further said that more than 2,000 players including 1,300 male and 700 female athletes and officials from all the divisions of Punjab will participate in the games.

“Khelta Punjab Games is a suitable platform for emerging athletes to demonstrate their sports skills”.
