Tareq Abu Azzoum of Al Jazeera reports on the scenes at the Israeli military inspection point at the Netzarim Corridor in Gaza.
“I have just come back from the military inspection point at the Netzarim Corridor. I saw really devastating scenes,” he said.
“Families in the line [to pass through to northern Gaza] are struggling without food, water and sanitation. The inspection process is incredibly slow,” he added.
The reporter added that thousands of cars are still waiting to make the journey back to the north and that it would take days to complete the journey.
“People are absolutely exhausted. Now their return to [northern Gaza], rather than being a time of relief and joy, has turned into another struggle, adding to a long history of misery,” he concluded.
