Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qassem says a delegation from the movement headed by Mujahid Mohamed Darwish, chairman of the Leadership Council and the group’s Shura Council, will head to Cairo on an official visit and meet Egyptian officials, Al Jazeera reports.

Qassem added that the Hamas delegation will also receive the prisoners who were deported to Egypt as per the ceasefire agreement.

Among the 200 prisoners who were released from Israeli prisons earlier, 70 have been deported to Egypt and from there will go to Algeria, Tunisia and Turkiye.
