One freed prisoner who has returned to Gaza has told Al Jazeera Arabic that they had been behind Israeli bars for “years”.
“This group of Palestinian detainees have been released, and some of them have arrived [in Gaza]. Four of those detainees will be medically examined, after which they will be reunited with their families,” he said.
At least 16 Palestinian prisoners have arrived in Khan Younis after being freed in the ceasefire deal.
