Asia Cup baseball starts in Pindi

RAWALPINDI, April 20: Pakistan's first ever International baseball tournament — the Asia Cup — opened at the Rawalpindi Stadium on Thursday.

Hosts Pakistan and teams from Iran, Hong Kong, Thailand and Sri Lanka are on show in the week-long event.

A march past by the participating teams marked the opening.

The home team was playing the opening match against Hong Kong which was being contested under lights. The game was still on at the timing of the filing of this report.

On Friday Sri Lanka play Thailand while Pakistan face Iran.
