TAXILA: Two persons were killed while another was injured in three separate incidents in district Attock on Monday, police and rescue sources said.

In the first incident, an elderly man was run over by a train in the limits of Hassanabdal police station. Police sources said the man in his 60s was crossing railway line when Quetta bound Jaffer Express ran over him killing him on the spot. The body was not identified till the filing of this news report.

Separately, a man was shot dead by unknown assailants in the Adalzai area in the limits of Hazro police station on Monday.

Police sources said that Umerdaraz was going towards his house when a masked man hiding near his house showered him with bullets killing him on the spot. Later, his body was shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital for autopsy. Meanwhile, Hazro Police arrested a man who allegedly shot dead his brother over land dispute in village Barra in the limits of Hazro Police station on January 3 when he was working in his field.

Meanwhile, a teenage girl was abducted by unknown persons in the limits of Wah Saddar police station on Monday.

Yasmeen Akhter has reported to Police that her 16-year-old daughter was abducted by unknown persons. Police have registered an abduction case and launched a search for her.
