LAKKI MARWAT: Scores of players from different martial arts academies participated in the sports gala that concluded in Serai Naurang town here on Monday.

They demonstrated their fighting and brick breaking skills. Shaheen Academy of Martial Arts Naurang secured first position in the karate competition, followed by Ihsan School of Martial Arts Lakki with second position.

In the judo competition, Ihsan School of Martial Arts stood winner while Shaheen Academy of Martial Arts got second position. Pakistan Karate Federation national qualified referees including Mohammad Tahir, Habibullah and Mohammad Sharif were judges of the event.

The district sports officer, Ihsanullah, who was chief guest on the occasion, distributed gold, silver and browns medals among players. He also gave away shields to referees and other guests.

International karate referee Irfan Nayab, and Javed Gul and Zahid Marwat of Naurang sports council, Farroq Shah, Dr Nainmatullah, Usman Pirzada, Hafiz Rashidullah, Riaz Khan and Haji Barkat Soorani were also present on the occasion.

Ihsanullah and Irfan Nayab praised players for their excellent performance in the martial arts event. They said that such sports festivals would help players to improve their performance and attract youth towards healthy activities.
