KARACHI: Police on Sunday claimed to have detained more than a dozen suspects during an operation and gathered evidence during the initial investigation that could assist the law enforcers in locating two children recently abducted from Garden.

A combing operation led by City SSP Arif Aziz was carried out for the search of two missing children from Garden. Station House Officers (SHOs) of Garden, Kalakot, Chakiwara and Kalri police station along with other intelligence staff joined the operation.

“During the search operation, 19 suspects were detained and shifted to a police station where they were being interrogated,” a city police spokesperson said.

City SSP Arif Aziz said: “Some evidence has been obtained, which may help the police to recover the missing children very soon.”

Separately, the police also annou­nced Rs300,000 reward for providing any information regarding the missing children.
