The Israeli prime minister’s office has said the full Israeli cabinet has convened to vote on a Gaza ceasefire deal, hours after the security cabinet approved it, AFP reports.
When asked, the spokesman for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office, Omar Dostri, confirmed that the meeting had begun. The meeting took place despite it being Shabat, the Jewish day of rest.
