QUETTA: Police have registered an FIR against Dr Mahrang Baloch, the central organiser of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC), and several of its workers in Mastung for violating Section 144, which was imposed by the provincial government.

Those named in the FIR, registered with the City Police Station in Mastung, include Bibo Baloch, Sibghat Ullah, Hafeez Baloch and 50 other workers and supporters of the BYC.

According to police, the FIR was registered under Sections 188, 147 and 149 of the Pakis­tan Penal Code. Fur­ther inve­stigation is underway. How­ever, no arrests have been made so far in connection with the case.
