GUJRAT: Police claimed to have resolved the mystery behind a blind murder of a youth which took place in Sadar police precincts on Dec 17 last..

The killer turned out to be a hired assassin who killed Faizan near Nayyer Mall along the old GT Road.

The assassin, identified as Zain Ali, was hired in one million rupees by an expat, Ali, settled in Spain who wanted to marry the wife of the deceased.

A spokesman for Gujrat police said that Faizan of Chah Barywala was shot dead by an unidentified armed man when he was returning home along with his wife on a motorbike after meeting some relatives.

A case was lodged against unidentified suspect on the report of Asghar Ali, the father of the deceased. Gujrat DPO Dr Mustanser Atta Bajwa tasked a special team to trace and arrest the suspects. Sub-inspector Usman Waris, the station house officer of Sadar Gujrat police, along with his team worked on the case.
