An Israeli source has told Haaretz that “the crisis with Hamas has been resolved”, in relation to a Gaza ceasefire deal.

Earlier today, an official said that Hamas presented new demands regarding the Philadelphi corridor, contrary to the maps approved by the cabinet and American mediators, adding that Israel strongly rejects “any changes to these maps”.

An Israeli source told Haaretz that only “small technical details” are delaying the deal, and that Israel hopes the first hostages will be released at the beginning of next week, before the inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump.
