KARACHI, April 19: Three ships including a car carrier are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships, APL Osaka, MOL Kauri to unload and load containers, Mirna to load rice and Oak Galaxy to offload palm oil were berthed after the departure of six.

The ships, which departed included Dong He, Hanjin Busan, Swat, Fotini Lady, Kota Tabah and Kota Merdesa, while APL Osaka, Oak Galaxy, Kota Wijaya and Hyundai Highway are due to sail out on Thursday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was relatively slow as cargo handled fell to 38,765 tons comprising 15,446 tons of export cargo including 6,200 tons of rice and 23,319 tons of import tonnage, which also included 2,041 tons of sugar.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Al-Marwah, with chemicals, Thor Captain, with containers and Dream Angel, with vehicles.
