Moachko police said the victims were riding a motorcycle when an ostensibly recklessly-driven dumper (loaded truck) hit them near Sharjah Shopping Mall. Suffering critical injuries, they were taken to Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi where doctors pronounced them dead on arrival.

The dead were identified as Jamil Faiz, 44, and Mohammed Akbar, 30. The dumper driver fled, leaving behind the vehicle that was impounded by the police.
