SNGPL, TMA lock horns

SARGODHA, April 18: A row started between Sui gas local authorities and tehsil municipal administration over suspension of their respective services.

The TMA disconnected water supply to local gas office and in revenge SNGPL authorities disconnected gas supply to the official residence of the tehsil nazim.

The TMA sanitary staff then dumped solid waste in front of the gas office, causing inconvenience both to SNGPL staff and general public.

The SNGPL officials are not inclined to surrender as they have started disconnecting gas supply to various offices in revenge.

TMA officials are also planning to create more problems for the gas department by lodging cases against them for causing damage to sewerage and water supply lines. They have decided not to permit gas officials to dig any road for laying pipelines.

When this correspondent contacted Tehsil Nazim Malik Shoaib Awan, he expressed his ignorance about water supply suspension or filth dumping by the TMA staff. He, however, accused SNGPL officials of misusing their authority.

EXPLODED: Three gas cylinders exploded in a shop where business of illegal refilling was going on.

Police said Muhammad Sharif, who was seriously injured, was doing the business of gas refilling in Block 16.
