The health ministry has said that hospitals in the besieged enclave are facing a “real disaster” due to ongoing shortages of fuel, Al Jazeera reports.

In a statement carried by the Palestinian Information Center, the ministry said Palestinian gangs again looted fuel tankers brought in by UN agencies yesterday and that Israel’s military is forcing aid groups to take “roads filled with thieves and bandits who steal [supplies] under its protection”.

The latest incident comes after the UN said Palestinian gangs had hijacked nearly all of six fuel tankers that entered through the Karem Abu Salem (Kerem Shalom) crossing earlier this week.
