KARACHI, April 18: A meeting chaired by Presiding Officer Mohammad Arif Gaddi of the Saddar Town Council on Tuesday approved the development of Shahrah-i-Iraq, Dr Dawood Pota, Prize Street and Hambrige roads, and the road from Chand Bibi Road to Nishter Park.

The meeting was attended by TMO Mukhtar Hussain, TO (Regulation) Imran Siddiqi and other town officials, said a statement.

The meeting also took decisions pertaining to development of footpaths and construction of the Saddar Town Hall.

Speaking at the meeting, Muhammad Arif said the city govt was making all efforts to ensure proper provision of civic facilities to the masses, which had started bearing positive results.

The town council meeting also approved resolutions to name parks in Clifton after, Afza Altaf, the daughter of MQM leader Altaf Hussain, and another one after Arif Hussain.

He said people of the town would get better facilities after completion of ongoing development projects in the town.—APP
