The Jerusalem Post, citing an unnamed Israeli official, now reports that those talks are progressing but “are advancing slowly”, Al Jazeera reports.

The official is also reported to have said that Hamas has not yet handed over the list of Israeli captives who would be released in a potential deal. Hamas has claimed that it cannot reach all of the captives and will need several days after the ceasefire has already begun to provide the list, the newspaper said.

The official said that it was “a false claim”, and that Hamas could provide the list if they wanted to.
