Fire in spare parts godown

LAHORE, April 17: Spare parts worth thousands of rupees were damaged when a fire broke out in a godown here at Lorry Adda, Badami Bagh, on Monday.

On receiving information, seven units of the fire brigade reached the spot and controlled the fire after two-hour hectic efforts, a fire official said.

However, two firemen Javed Iqbal and Yasser suffered serious burn injuries and were rushed to the Mayo Hospital.

The cause of the fire was stated to be a short-circuit.—APP
