KARACHI, April 17: Two brothers were shot dead in Liaquatabad on Monday. Liaquatabad TPO Latif Siddiqui said that they used to give motorcycles on rent in Liaquatabad No 3 close to their house.

On Monday afternoon, they were at their shop when unidentified persons on a motorcycle opened fire at them. The wounded were taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where Azeem and Adeel were pronounced dead. Another victim Muhammad Amin sustained a bullet wound in the leg.

Police said that the three victims were not affiliated with any political group. “We are suspecting some personal enmity as a possible motive behind the killing,” a senior police official added.

In Defence, a resident shot dead a bandit and wounded his associates during an armed robbery at his house early Monday morning.

Police said that three armed suspects barged into Sohail Mansuri’s house at Gizri. The house owner woke up and opened fire killing a suspect Shabir, 30, and injuring two of his accomplices. The wounded bandits, however, managed to flee along with gold ornaments and cash.

BODY FOUND: The strangulated body of a young man was found from Ibrahim Hydri on Monday.

Police said that the victim identified as Mansha, 30, was a resident of Korangi. His body was sent to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for post-mortem examination.
