SOUTH WAZIRISTAN: Armed men looted chilgoza (pine nuts) from a vehicle on Tank Bypass here on Tuesday.

Chilgoza forest union leaders told journalists in Wana that the daring robbery took place in the broad daylight on the Tank Bypass.

They said that the vehicle was carrying pine nuts from Wana to Lahore. They said that the pine nuts were worth Rs10 million.

Union president Meva Khan Wazir and general secretary Javed said that the attackers held the two men onboard the vehicle at gunpoint, ordered them to disembark the vehicle and drove it away. They said that the vehicle was later found parked near Tank.

They demanded of the Tank police to help recover chilgoza from the robbers.
