KASUR, April 16: A robber was killed in firing by his accomplices during a shootout with villagers in Bhongee Kalian village on Sunday. Reports said robbers looted some passersby near Allahabad. When the villagers came to know about it, they reached the spot and exchanged fire with the robbers. A bullet fired by the robbers hit one of their accomplice and he died on the spot.
Police have sent the body for autopsy after registering a case.
INJURED: An accused, Walayat, was injured in police custody when his accomplices tried to get him released near Marathon village here on Sunday.
