ABBOTTABAD: The police on Tuesday arrested three persons involved in murder cases.

Officials said Tayyab, a resident of Havelian, and Ehsanullah of Peshawar recently booked a van from Havelian, and upon reaching Hazro, they allegedly killed the driver, and drove away the vehicle.

The officials said following a tip-off, the Havelian police intercepted the suspected killers, leading to an exchange of fire, during which both of them were injured. They were arrested and shifted to hospital.

The police also recovered the stolen van and a pistol from their possession. A case was registered against them.

Meanwhile, in a separate action, the Lora police arrested a suspect involved in murder fo two brothers over a land dispute.

Ameen, a resident of Chabgaran area, had allegedly used a firearm to kill Dilfaraz and Ikhlaq in Katli area.

The police also recovered a 30-bore pistol from his possession.
