The head of the World Health Organisation (WHO) has said that the international medical team, deployed by the UN body just five days earlier after five Israeli denials, has been forced to leave after 33 people were reported killed just outside the besieged Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahiya, Al Jazeera reports.

Displaced Palestinians, caregivers and many injured patients had to flee amid panic, leaving only 90 patients and 66 medical staff inside the “minimally functional” hospital in northern Gaza, said Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.
