KHUZDAR: An officer of the CTD of Balochistan police was seriously injured in an armed attack by unknown assailants in Khuzdar town on Thursday night.

According to police, the incident took place in the Jhalawan Complex area of Khuzdar, where armed men on a motorcycle opened fire on the CTD officer, leaving him with multiple bullet injuries.

Police rushed to the area after the incident and shifted the injured officer, identified as Assistant Sub-Inspector Ibrahim Sheikh, to the district hospital.

An investigation has been initiated, and a search operation has been launched to trace the attackers.
