LAHORE: Army and Wapda won the men’s and women’s championship in the National Athletics Championship which concluded in Multan on Wednesday.

Army clinched the men’s title with seven gold, 12 silver and nine bronze medals to earn 471 points. Wa­pda remained the runners-up with six gold, seven silver and five bronze to accumulate 274 points.

Wapda retained the women’s title scooping eight gold, 12 silver and seven bronze medals to seize 300 points. The Higher Education Commission (239 points) came second with five gold, six silver and five bronze.
