QUETTA, April 13: Three personnel of the Frontier Corps were injured in a landmine explosion in the Loti area on Thursday. Sources said that their vehicle hit the landmine as the FC men patrolled the area. The injured were taken to the PPL’s hospital in Sui.

In another incident, the tribesmen blew up a water pipeline in the Pather Nullah area, suspending water supply to the Pir Koh gas plant, officials said.

Repair work on the two main gas pipelines, blown up the other day in the Loti gas field area, could not be completed on Thursday, sources said.

The sources said that landmines planted in the area were hampering the work.

But they said the gas supply, which was discontinued after the attack on gas pipeline, would be restored within 24 hours.
