QUETTA, April 10: A man was killed and 21 others were injured, four of them seriously, in a bomb explosion in Kohlu on Monday. “A home-made bomb planted in a barber shop went off, killing one person,” an official said. The blast destroyed four shops in the town’s main bazaar.

The victim, Ahmed Yar, was sitting in the barber shop.

The injured were taken to the Kohlu Civil Hospital and the seriously injured among them were sent to Dera Ghazi Khan after initial treatment.

Sources said police had detained a suspect and handed him over to officials concerned for interrogation.

Another bomb exploded in Gwadar on Monday night, smashing window-panes of houses on the Hospital Road.

In Nushki, a hand-grenade was hurled into a house, police said.
