Young Ansari lift cup

KARACHI, April 10: Young Ansari lifted the trophy and cash purse of Rs100,000 of third KASB Premier Football league by defeating National Afridi Club 4-2 in their last match at Sixteen Star Football Club on Sunday.

Young Ansari accumulated 32 points to secure the top slot in the championship.

Striker Hameed Afridi slammed two goals while Umar Nawab, Arif and Murad Shah netted one goal each.

Malir National mustered 31 points to finish as runners-up and collected Rs50,000.

In another match, Baloch Mohammadan Lyari defeated defending champion Lyari Labor Welfare Centre 2-1.

Ghulam Ali struck both the goals for the winners.

Hameed Afridi of Young Ansari scored 18 goals in the competition.

Pervez Ahmed was named man of the tournament.—APP
