MIRPURKHAS: Inquiry ordered

MIRPURKHAS, April 10: On the complaint of Syed Najaz Ali Shah, a resident of Satellite Town, Mirpurkhas, the DPO of Mirpurkhas has ordered the SHO of town police to conduct an inquiry into the registration of false cases against him.

The complainant said that his elder sister Aziz Fatima was a high blood pressure patient and on April 1 she felt severe pain in her chest and was taken in an unconscious condition to the cardiac ward of the civil hospital Mirpurkhas where medical officer Dr Akram Sultan was called. The doctor misbehaved with him and used abusive language and refused to take up the case, saying that it pertained to some other department.

He said that the ECG test of his sister was taken only after he warned of registering a complaint with the civil surgeon.

He said that he later took his sister to a private hospital where different tests revealed enlargement of her heart.

He said that in the evening on the same day, investigation police of town police station reached the private hospital and arrested him as Dr Akram had implicated him in a false case of obstructing him in the performance of official duty.
